Recently, an automotive reviewer from Forbes received the pleasure of testing the new 2013 RAV4 Electric. The RAV4 is desirable in many aspects, but a compelling claim to fame is that it runs farther on one charge than any other electric SUV. Toyota partnered with premier automobile battery creator Tesla Motors to be able to make the absolute best electric SUV.
In his review, Forbe’s reviewer states, “The good news about the RAV4 EV is that it is a very good SUV that just happens to be powered by electricity. There’s no sacrifice in terms of utility or ease of use. You don’t need to do anything special to drive the EV effectively — just drive. And that’s a good thing.”
With 40 amp installed vehicle battery charger, the RAV4 takes 5 hours to charge and will take you about 113 miles, much farther than a usual commute and/or errand running.
