The New Toyota Corolla

Published by PGI Auto on May 16th, 2013

Toyota is set to launch the all new 2014 Toyota Corolla later this year. Thanks to the internet, a couple of key details about the new sedan have been revealed. The first glimpse of the next-generation Corolla’s design was at the 2013 Detroit Auto show.

Reportedly, the 2014 Corolla will continue to use a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine though Toyota’s Valvematic continuously variable valve timing system has been added. A four-speed automatic (oh yeah!) will be offered in the base model, although the manual transmission now has six gears and other trim levels can be had with a CVT. As with most new models, engine output and fuel economy should improve slightly over the previous model.

With the 2014 Toyota Corolla you will be able to chose from the base, LE, S and Eco trim levels, with a couple of improvements having been made to the materials and equipment offered inside the cabin. Softex leather will also be available for 2014, as will push-button start and a nav system. While Toyota has not officially confirmed any of this information, we won’t have to wait too much longer before getting the official details on the newest Corolla.

If you can’t wait for the 2014 version, the 2013 Toyota Corolla is still a great vehicle and Victory Toyota has a great selection to choose from. Just take a look at our Corolla inventory and then call or come by today!

The 2013 Toyota Tacoma

Published by PGI Auto on May 15th, 2013

The 2013 Toyota Tacoma is a midsize pickup truck that comes in a variety of body styles and trims. We’re willing to bet that there is a version that fits your needs. It has three cab styles – regular, Access Cab (most call it extended cab) and Double Cab (commonly known as crew cab).

The available trim levels include the base, PreRunner and X-Runner versions. The base is your basic work truck, it has a/c, composite bedliner, bed utility rail system, CD player and well that’s pretty much it. The PreRunner has the look and suspension of the 4WD trucks but without the actual 4WD mechanicals, while the X-Runner features an enhanced on-street performance without giving up all that much utility.

The Tacoma has a couple of engine choices including a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine and a 4.0-liter V6. If you plan on doing a lot of hauling you will certainly want the V6. For the four-cylinder, the available transmissions are either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Purchasers of the V6 can choose between a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission.

At the end of the day, like most Toyota vehicles, the Tacoma is a great vehicle. We’re sure you’ll be happy with your next Tacoma. Especially when you purchase it from Victory Toyota. We have a great selection of Toyota Tacoma to choose from and we’re standing by to help you drive yours home today!

The new Toyota Sienna in Seaside offers the most for the lowest price of any minivan in the U.S.  This family hauler has been credited with having the best combination of power, safety and interior room than the others in its class.  Dropping the four-cylinder for the 2013 model year, the Sienna is now powered by a fuel-efficient six-cylinder engine, earning a fuel rating of 25 MPG capabilities.

Though minivans are not known for design or style, Toyota chose to put a little extra effort in the Sienna, giving buyers one of the best in minivan styles ever created.  The Sienna is now not only practical and versatile, but is attractive and modern, as well as offering some of the best in family safety and east-to-use in-car tech.

Toyota’s New Concept Vehicle

Published by PGI Auto on April 24th, 2013

Toyota has created a new electric concept vehicle that can be considered a truck, a convertible and a new Toyota SUV in Seaside.  This crossover doesn’t just delve into the world of two different types of vehicles, but is one of the first to cross over into several different vehicle types.  Though still in the concept stages, the idea of a car that become almost anything the driver needs at any given moment, will most likely make its way to production within the decade.

Toyota is known for innovative ideas, and the ME.WE concept is no different.  The owner can customize it into several different body types, including one for rough terrain, one of the road, one for nice days in the sun and another to haul and carry.

The batteries that power the Toyota ME.WE concept are located under the floor, which leaves the entire body of the vehicle to be used for passenger or cargo space.  Most of the interior is made of renewable resource material, like bamboo.
