Toyota Unveils New ‘Toy’ Vehicle

Published by PGI Auto on June 14th, 2013

Once again, Toyota has outdone itself by creating something that even has children excited about Toyota cars.  With their excellent vision and a team that presents the most innovative ideas in the industry, Toyota has presented the world with a do-it-yourself car which has some assembly required – but that’s the best part.  This new “toy car” is called the Toyota Camatte57s, and is actually an electric sports car designed for the whole family.  It was revealed earlier this week during the Tokyo Toy Show.

Besides being able to be built by kids and families, this new Toyota in Seaside car features interchangeable colored body panels that can be used to create unique designs and color combinations.  The driver’s seat and pedals can be adjusted to allow children to take the wheel, while a parent helps out with steering and brakes from the rear.

With this fun and interesting toy car, Toyota has been successful in building enthusiasm for driving, especially in Japan where people have been increasingly shunning car ownership in recent years, though there are no immediate plans to put it into production any time in the near future.  Toyota is always doing something fun and interesting, and when kids can get involved, it’s even better.

The automotive industry is completely abuzz with news about the new Toyota Corolla.  Journalists and other auto experts are extremely impressed with the new styling of the newest Toyota Corolla in Seaside.  The new Corolla will go on sale this fall and is now roomier inside than the outgoing version.  The front and rear wheels have been stretched apart to give the car a more aggressive stance.  Perhaps the biggest and most interesting upgrade is the use light-emitting diodes, or LEDs.

Toyota Vehicles Make 10 Best Family Cars List

Published by PGI Auto on May 30th, 2013

Edmunds.com, a widely-used and trusted site for all things automotive, and Parents Magazine have released their picks for the ’10 Best Family Cars’, which will be released in the July edition of the magazine.  The Toyota Prius c was the only car to earn a spot in the hybrid section, and when the amount of available hybrids is considered, it’s quite an honor.  The 2013 Toyota Sienna in Seaside is the only minivan to make the list, as well.

Edmunds and Parents magazine used professional auto reviewers to create the list of cars parents could most trust with their children.  The cars had to rank high in all categories, which included price, safety, equipment level and fuel consumption.

Since the Toyota Prius c is one of the best-priced hybrids available on the market, it makes the price tag even more special to know that it has earned so many honors and accolades.

Toyota’s New Charity Campaign Features Plugin Hybrid

Published by PGI Auto on May 22nd, 2013

imagesThe Toyota Prius is one of the few highly fuel-efficient vehicles that has always delivered on its fuel rating claims.  Toyota has recently announced a new campaign which will feature the Toyota Prius in Seaside.  The campaign is called the ’2013 Toyota Prius Plug-In Challenge’ and will not only with this campaign help local charities, but it will also be used to showcase the fact that the Prius provides the same fuel economy it claims it will.

The New Toyota Corolla

Published by PGI Auto on May 16th, 2013

Toyota is set to launch the all new 2014 Toyota Corolla later this year. Thanks to the internet, a couple of key details about the new sedan have been revealed. The first glimpse of the next-generation Corolla’s design was at the 2013 Detroit Auto show.

Reportedly, the 2014 Corolla will continue to use a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine though Toyota’s Valvematic continuously variable valve timing system has been added. A four-speed automatic (oh yeah!) will be offered in the base model, although the manual transmission now has six gears and other trim levels can be had with a CVT. As with most new models, engine output and fuel economy should improve slightly over the previous model.

With the 2014 Toyota Corolla you will be able to chose from the base, LE, S and Eco trim levels, with a couple of improvements having been made to the materials and equipment offered inside the cabin. Softex leather will also be available for 2014, as will push-button start and a nav system. While Toyota has not officially confirmed any of this information, we won’t have to wait too much longer before getting the official details on the newest Corolla.

If you can’t wait for the 2014 version, the 2013 Toyota Corolla is still a great vehicle and Victory Toyota has a great selection to choose from. Just take a look at our Corolla inventory and then call or come by today!
